Chansons françaises

Desolée, cette page n'a pas encore été traduite en français. Voici la version anglaise.
I listen to a lot of music in French. I find that if I listen to something a lot, I don't just remember the general meaning of what was said, but the exact wording, pronunciation, and intonation. So after having listened to so many French songs, I have a bank of ready-made example phrases in my head which I can call upon if I ever have a doubt about how to form a particular grammatical structure, or the gender of a noun, or anything like that.

It took a while to find French songs which didn't sound awful, but eventually I found some and now I have a larger collection of songs in French than some of the French-speakers I know. You can see which ones I listen to on my lastfm page.
