SInce I've done GRAPE IMAC, I probably should do the other flavours of iMac as they're the most likely computers to be mistakenly eaten.

STRAWBERRY IMAC: Started To Retch, And Wondered 'Bout Edibility. Really Really Yucky, It's Main Aftertaste's Copper.

TANGERINE IMAC: This Apple's No Good! Even RAM Is Not Edible. I'm Making A Complaint!

LIME IMAC: Licking It Made Evident It Maybe Ain't Citrus.

BLUEBERRY IMAC: Bad Luck, Underfed Ethiopians... Barely Edible Repast. Return Yours, I'll Make A Casserole.

Hmm, I don't like the last one too much. But it gave me an idea for the start of this one... can anyone finish it?

IMAC SPECIAL EDITION: It Makes A Casserole So Plasticky, Everyone Chokes! ...

Oh, I love this thread! But do you realise that with all this conversation, 72 new acronyms have been created since I updated the site five days ago? I don't think I'll wait until a week has passed, I might update it again later today.

I'm wondering if there might have to be a new category for your computer magazine acronyms. The other computer-eating acronyms are in Do Not Eat, a subcategory of Computers, and the magazine ones will fit there also since they're computer related. But there is an alias of that category called Computer Parts & Peripherals inside the Food category. Perhaps I need to rename that alias to something like Computers or Computer Cuisine.

If computer parts really were edible, would they be LARDWARE?

Left Alone, Rebelling Dieters Will Absorb Recyclable Electronics

I'd welcome a better word than Absorb, I don't have a thesaurus handy.

While being annoyed that there probably won't be a new PowerBook before my hardware discount runs out, I noticed this footnote on Apple's page about the new low-end iPod, the iPod Shuffle:

Do not eat iPod shuffle.

With an official recommendation like that, I had to apronymise it.

Cables are so last-century. For a light snack I prefer the radio waves of WIRELESS networking.

WIRELESS: Weight Is Restricted Easily, Light-Eating's So Simple

IPOD PHOTO: In Pictures Or Diapason, Person Has Obviously Taken Overdose

Or, as it would probably wreak havoc with the large intestine:

IPOD: I'd Put One's Diapason

(I have never heard the word diapason spoken, I hope it sounds similar enough to 'diapers on' to make this work.)

When I saw the iPod Shuffle website this category was the first thing that came to my mind -- but I really have been too busy with Latin (INTER ALIA, as it were) lately and have fallen behind on apronyms.

IPOD SHUFFLE:
It's Portable, Obviously Durable.  Should Happy Users Find Freedom, Loving eMacs?
(Suspecting that people will buy a Mac after a happy iPod Shuffle experience -- though to be technical, with the eMac you need a USB extender to plug in the mini).

*INTER ALIA: Infinite Number of Things, Events, Readings, All Looming In Aggregate.

*INTER ALIA: I Need To Enthusiastically Restart Apronyms, Lest I Atrophy.
