Oh, I love this thread! But do you realise that with all this conversation, 72 new acronyms have been created since I updated the site five days ago? I don't think I'll wait until a week has passed, I might update it again later today.

I'm wondering if there might have to be a new category for your computer magazine acronyms. The other computer-eating acronyms are in Do Not Eat, a subcategory of Computers, and the magazine ones will fit there also since they're computer related. But there is an alias of that category called Computer Parts & Peripherals inside the Food category. Perhaps I need to rename that alias to something like Computers or Computer Cuisine.

If computer parts really were edible, would they be LARDWARE?

I'd welcome a better word than Absorb, I don't have a thesaurus handy.

How about changing 'Dorks' to a part of the anatomy, like Duodenum?

Where did the Expansion "Do Not Eat" come from? I don't remember an Acronym DNE, so I worked it into one.... I hope nobody minds if "The Master" bends a few 'rules'...

Duodenum would work...rather well since it's part of the intestine.

Angela?  You apparently had a computer w/Internet handy.  Webster.com has a really good dictionary and thesaurus...very handy since all my dictionaries are really old and/or chinsy.  :)

While being annoyed that there probably won't be a new PowerBook before my hardware discount runs out, I noticed this footnote on Apple's page about the new low-end iPod, the iPod Shuffle:

Do not eat iPod shuffle.

With an official recommendation like that, I had to apronymise it.
