HyperText Markup Louie? What's a Markup Louie?

Is Mysterious Shadow related to MicroSoft?

Edwin (the Forum Keeper) has asked me to remove some old threads from these forums, as he is running out of disk space. I will back everything up as it is and then remove some threads which haven't had posts in a while.

How rude I am... I forgot to welcome Mysterious Shadow to the wonderfully pointless world of acronymania! :^)

I'm afraid my late response to the posts and lack of welcome might be the reason for Myster. Shadow's disappearance. Perhaps it's just that shadows are rather ephemeral anyway.

EPHEMERAL

loads of good synonyms for that word, but h, r, and the other two e's are impossible, imo

I'm not ready to return to "work" just yet, but I couldn't resist that "impossible"....

EPHEMERAL
Everything Passes Hurriedly, Especially Mayflies - Earth's Rotation's A Lifetime.

Look up "Ephemera" in a god dictionary.

I had this reply ready yesterday but the forums weren't working for a while and I had left the acronyms on my work computer, so now Tony's beaten me to it.

Impossible, you say? No acronym is impossible (except for IMPOSSIBLE*)

In the sense 'Living or lasting only for a day':

Earth's Pirouette Has Especially Morbid Effect, Restricting A Life.

There's a 'rule' around here saying that if you capitalise a word, you must acronymise it (note there's a disclaimer on the first 'what people are looking for' thread)... since you're new, I'll let you off doing EPHEMERAL, but now I must do the impossible.

*IMPOSSIBLE: I Mustn't Pass On Something So Irresistible... 'Bad' Letters Expanded!

Insomniac Mrs. Pleads, "Oh, Stop Snoring!" Instead Bringing Louder Explosions. (Some people won't stop snoring no matter what you do!)

If Not Proven, One Shouldn't Say 'Impossible' But 'Little Expected'

(I know it breaks your rule, Tony... but you break your own rules sometimes!)

We don't all have god dictionaries... now I know how you manage to produce so many good acronyms, you have access to the words of the Lord!

In your expansion, Shadow, you really ought not use the word "God" to stand for the "G" of "God" in the acronym/

Perhaps it should be Grady'O Deity... as you're the acronymising god with the god dictionary! :)

Hunt The Missing Letter!

then I responded:

Hehehehe! It was the N in language. :)

Now, is Lindzee required (by the Acronymists' Charter) to acronymise 'HOW'S ABOUT THIS?'

I THOUGHT SO
If (it's) Too Hard, One Uses Giant Hardback Thesaurus - Synonym Overload!
