Well, there are quite a few on this site... http://acronyms.co.nz/religion has a lot of acronyms to do with Christianity and other religions.

More specifically Christian acronyms are in the Bible books, Christmas and Easter subcategories:

http://acronyms.co.nz/religion/biblebooks/index.html
http://acronyms.co.nz/time/specialoccasions/christmas/index.html
http://acronyms.co.nz/time/specialoccasions/easter/index.html

Or you could search for terms like 'christ' or 'Jesus' from the main page. I hope this is what you're looking for. I just did a search for IBIG and this page:

http://www.paisproject.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=113

mentions another one - PUSH for Pray Until Something Happens.

Why 'find' them, when you can so easily create your own?

GOD
Great Omnipotent Deity

CHRIST
Certainly His Resurrection Is Supreme Truth

Good point... was that one perhaps inspired by http://acronyms.co.nz/cgi-bin/gonym?GOD ?

The subject of inspiration inspired this one:
GOD IS GOOD
Generator Of Divine Inspiration Should Get Our Ongoing Devotion

or something like that.

No, I just came up with it without checking the stack, or other sources. I suppose we've been corresponding for so long that we think along the same lines :-)

For those who are not monotheistic, but do believe in one supreme God....
General Overall Deity

We may as well round it off with Great Omnipresent Deity. :)

For that matter, the Omni Group (http://omnigroup.com) makes some excellent products for Mac OS X, including open source frameworks for other Cocoa developers to use. Some might regard the Omni folk as GODS - Generous Omni Developers Share!

A lot of people seem to fight each other because they believe in different gods - the Old Testament is littered with stories of God helping the Israelites defeat their enemies. I wonder how bible stories would read if told by the other side. In other words... is the GOD referred to Goliath's Or David's?

Also, some churches (at least Reverend Lovejoy's one on The Simpsons!) lean towards the idea that if we don't do exactly what God says we'll all burn in hell. Others describe a more benevolent God. So is GOD Generous Or Destructive?

Most texts refer to God as 'He' although there are jokes about God being female and logically (if logic even applies to gods) God is neither. So:

Gender's Often Debated.

GODS: Greek? One Doesn't Suffice.

GOD: Guess One's Desires (there are so many arguments and no direct ways of finding out what a god might want us to do.)

I went to it and couldn't see any reference to acronyms, so I used the site's own search facility anf looked for the word 'Acronym' and got 0 matches. You need to override the preset recency of posting limit of 7 days. I then got a few abbreviations and other well-known stuff

This one is really only a collection of abbreviations. The acronyms there aren't quite what we do here, there's no real words, just sets of initials.

Pity, I was looking forward to a new source of inspiration. But thanks anyway Dr. Joy.

Ok, sure, put down religious extremists. And Genesis is in no way nonsense, Timothy states that everything in the Bible is true. EVERYTHING. Even if you are not a Christian, that's insulting to me.

Even the Pope has recently accepted that there are parts of the Bible which are not factual. There is no way that the universe was (a) created in the sequence which Genesis gives, and (b) created within six days, or (c) created within the timescale which adding the ages of the generations listed would indicate.

I am sorry that you are offended by anything I wrote in a jovial mood, you might like to look at my serious treatment of the books of the Bible. I think that we all need to be able to see (a) the funny side and, (b) other people's points of view.

There are contradictory passages in the Bible - how do you rationalise those?
