I love Tony's JOY idea... I probably can't improve on it, but I'll try.

This one's a bit of a cheat... KinGS: Kids in God's Service.

I had a look at http://www.hope-lutheran.org -- am I correct to assume you are based in Friendsville? What a nice name for a town! This one needs some work, and probably won't appeal to the youths, but I was inspired by the town name to come up with one for FRIENDS:

Faith Resounds In Exciting Neighbourhood Disciple Society

And here are some expansions of FAITH:

Fun Activities In The 'Hood
Fellowship Advances Innocents/Individuals Toward Heaven
Friendsville Area Is Teens' H[e]aven

How about
JOY - Jesus-Oriented Youth
JOYFUL - Jesus-Oriented Young'uns Feeling Unconditional Love
JOYFUL (2) - Jesus-Oriented Young'uns Founded Under Lutheranism
JOYOUS - Jesus-Oriented Youngsters Open Unto Scripture

The 'Y' words are interchangeable, of course. We in Ireland don't use the same 'grade' system as the US so I don't know what ages you're dealing with - if I knew it might, but only 'might', offer further inspiration.

Our 3rd-5th grade youth group has been called KFC - Kids For Christ.  We want to get away from the chicken affiliation and need something fun.
The older group 6th-8th grade just changed their name to YUC - Youth Under Construction.   Our brainstorming didn't go too well.  Any ideas?

You are right...we are not a church program. But I do teach and train in churches at times..but mainly to foster care organizations and counties teaching families how to care for sexually abused children and children who sexually abuse.

Thanks
Rick

would I be right in assuming that you are not a church-based organisation?
I immediately see SAINT H in there as in Sexual Abuse In The Home - and would like to work on it towards a real saint's name, but feel it might well be a total non-starter.

Hi Stephanie,

It looks like you've already made a start, so you don't need us to start you off!

It's difficult to come up with a boast about you when we don't know anything about you. Obviously we could find a lot of complimentary G-words simply by going through a dictionary, but we don't know which ones would suit you, so it wouldn't be much help. All I can suggest is that you make a list of things that you would boast about, and then look up those words in a thesaurus and try to find synonyms beginning with the right sound.

Alliteration or acronym?

RADIO - Remote Audio Distribution Is Old-dashioned
… is an acronym

Rock-n-Roll Radio Rouses Roisterers
… is an alliteration and is not the sort of thing we do here.
