The principle here Deana is that the words have a meaning beyond their dictionary definitions. That secondary meaning is spelt out in the words we form which all commence with the letters of each word.
I presume you are offering "After Shock" as an option to Aaron for the name he was seeking for his Men's ministry group. The only problem (from this Forum's viewpoint is that it isn't an apronym.
I can see the idea behind what you wrote, but it needs to be tweaked to make it a pronouncable word

has great resonances with earth-shaking change of life many find when they come to discover a personal God. But the letters give "ASSAGFJ" which is unwieldy. But Aftershock is a great work, redolent of how thinghs can still be happening long after what caused them has been stilled, or forgotten, even.
