How about a 'Do Not Eat' angle on this?

CLOTH: Covers Lining Of Throat Horribly

FABRIC: For A Breakfast Reduced In Calories or Rich In Cotton

DENIM: Don't Eat - Nutrition Is Minimal.

The Denim is nice, but the Fabric expansion implies edibility.

I was thinking of perhaps doing two sets of acronyms as we did with paints... one for and one against eating them. Here's a pro-eating one for THREAD:

This Has Roughage - Eat And Defecate!

That one's the best in this thread of threads... I love it!

TWINE
? ? Is Never Eaten

I can't think of a beginner for that just now but:
Thin Waistline Induced... Non-Edible
