Linguistics

Linguistics fascinates me. I'd love to study it some more. As it is, I've read some books on it and took a course on Language and Culture at university... but no more than that, because it was almost impossible to fit linguistics and mathematics in the same schedule. If I weren't a programmer pretending to be a physicist and mathematician, I'd be a linguist for sure. I've written some not-at-all-serious ramblings on linguistic things I've noticed.

The language and culture course taught me, in essence, that if you can only think in one language, there are many things which you can't easily think. Naturally, if you can think in more than one language, there are still many things you can't think, but not as many. So I'm doing my best to learn French, and the accompanying culture of Romandie.
